Deborah Lee Yancey

Deborah Yancey, 49, of Jonesboro died Saturday, January 4, 2013 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born in Jonesboro to Pete and Goldie Stroud on May 13, 1964. Deborah enjoyed the outdoors. Her passions were going to the lake, races, shopping, and most of all her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father and one sister.

Deborah is survived by her husband of 19 years, Edwin Yancey. 4 sons: Johnathan Woodard, Joseph Yancey, Coy Yancey, and Justin Woodward. Mother: Goldie Lee. One brother: Steve Stroud. One sister: Martha Higgins. Seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.


Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 with James Moore officiating and with Emerson Funeral Home in charge. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery with active Pallbearers being: Keith Cain, Ronny Holt, Gary Needham, Richard Greenway, Brian Wheeler, Steve Stroud, Dennis Bruce, and Tobe Akins. Visitation will start at 1:00 p.m.
