Deborah Jeanine Shaw

February 3, 1957 — November 11, 2005

Deborah Jeanine Shaw, 48, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Friday evening, November 11, 2005, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Long Beach, California, Miss Shaw lived much of her life in Jonesboro. She was a Lab Technician for Frito-Lay in Jonesboro and worked at DuPont of Jonesboro as a Pam Operator.

Deborah was a 1975 graduate of Nettleton High School in Jonesboro and earned a degree from ITT Institute. She was a Baptist and was preceded in death by her parents: Ruben G. Shaw and Martha Payton Shaw; and by a brother: Ruben D. “Rookie” Shaw.

Survivors include:

3 Sisters: Peggy Shaw of Jonesboro, Pam Hembrey of Brookland, and June Walter of Oran, Missouri;

2 Brothers: R.E. Shaw of Creal Springs, Illinois, and R.G. Shaw of Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 14, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro with Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers include Joseph Hembrey, Randy Walter, Danny Wells, Chad McIvoy, Brandon Graftenreed and Daniel Bailey.

Honorary pallbearers include: Rex Fager, David Hampton, Michey Tarkington, and co-workers at Frito-Lay.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5-8 at Emerson Funeral Home.

For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to the American Kidney Foundation, or to the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society.
