David T. “Big Dave” Maloch, 71, of Jonesboro formerly of Lubbock, Texas passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at his home. He was born in a farm house September 22, 1947 in the small community of Sharp, Milam County Texas to the late William and Alice Maloch. David was a graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in marketing. He worked in printing and marketing his entire career, with many of those years at LSU and ASU. David loved working and cheering for LSU until he moved to Arkansas when he started working for ASU and he became a big supporter. David was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. He enjoyed golfing, trout fishing and movies. Most of all, David loved spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Maloch and sister, Pam Moore.
Survivors include his daughter Amanda Galan; his son and wife, Andrew and Natasha Maloch; 3 sisters, Pat Treadway, Karen Dial, Rebecca Moore; 4 grandchildren, Shelby Brown, Haylee Brown, Carter Maloch, Abigail Maloch and 1 great grandchild, Liam Tagle.
Funeral will be Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in Walnut Street Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Parker and Curtis Shatley officiating. Burial will follow at McDaniel Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel.
