David Wayne Reed

David Wayne Reed, 62, a lifelong resident of Jonesboro, died Monday, December 17, 2018, at NEA Baptist Medical Center.  He was of the Baptist belief.  David was a true sportsman, he excelled at hunting and fishing, which were two of his passions.  His family and friends referred to him as a grill master and the “best gardener ever”.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Lou Reed.

Survivors include his soul mate and care giver, Kim Blount of Jonesboro; his father, Harold Reed of Trumann; and a brother Bobby Reed of Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Emerson Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with Ronnie Blount, Taylor Yarbrough, Braden Yarbrough, Lenny Wood, Jeryn Sutton and Brett Long serving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time on Thursday.  To sign an online guest book, go to emersonfuneralhome.com.
