Obituary

David Charles Miller, 67, of Pine Bluff, passed from this life on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock.David was born on July 13, 1958, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Willard and Verna Miller. 

He was of the Baptist belief.He was a member of Jacob Brump Lodge #160, Scottish Rite Valley of Little Rock and Sahara Shrine Temple in Pine Bluff.David had a lifelong passion for motorcycles. In his younger years, he rode flat track bikes and returned to riding later in life, a pastime that brought him great joy. He was an exceptional bowler and came close to turning professional during his youth. He was also an accomplished golfer - participating in ProAms and coaching the UAPB Golf team during the early 2000s. He loved to play music and was a great guitar player and drummer and was a member of the Port City Blues Society. He was a member of the Spring Hill Deer Club and always enjoyed his annual trout fishing trip with his friends.

He spent 20 years as the Director of Engineering at Rohr, first in Southern California and then Heber Springs, and was the Plant Manager at Florida Drum in Charlotte, North Carolina and Pine Bluff. He later became a small business owner in the Pine Bluff area, where he made so many wonderful friends. 

Family meant everything to David—he enjoyed taking his daughter Nicole to show horses, took pride in helping coach his son Jay’s baseball team and spending time with his daughter Shannon while fishing. He always supported his children in their interests and pursuits in any way he could. When his granddaughter began playing softball, he loved traveling all over the country to watch her and was always ready and excited for the next one.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy Miller and Gary Miller.

He is survived by his son, David “Jay” Miller (Lacee) of Jonesboro; daughters, Nicole Gilbow (Matt) of Jonesboro and Shannon Miller of Gainesville, MO; cousin, Mary Visnieski (Tim) of Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Audrey Miller, Brooke Pulliam, Kaytlin Berry, and Roselyn Berry.

A service to celebrate David’s life will be announced at a later date.
