David Robert Mckenzie

David Robert McKenzie, 68, of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away on May 5, 2026, at NEA Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

He was born on May 30, 1957, to the late Robert McKenzie and Gladys Roberts. David was a skilled handyman who took great pride in working with his hands. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, creating art, gardening, and spending time with his family, who meant the world to him. He was of the Methodist faith.

David was preceded in death by his parents; his son, David Robert McKenzie Jr. (“Bubba”); one sister, Karen Schneider; and his stepfather, Chester Bice.

He is survived by his brother, Eddie McKenzie of Leesburg, Florida; his sister, Phyllis Moore (Erik) of Paragould, Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Wounded Warrior Project Foundation, or Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge.

Services will be private.
