David Joseph Maguire

David Joseph Maguire, 57, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 at NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born April 22, 1963 to Anthony Maguire and Julia O’Brien. David is preceded in death by his father, Anthony Maguire; mother-in-law, Agnes Pagan; brother, Timothy Maguire; and granddaughter, Chelsy Adams.

David was passionate about his work. Working for Japan Airlines for many years, David developed a website for pilots that is still being used today. He loved to tinker. He built computers and was even working on building his own plane. David enjoyed the outdoors. You could often find him bass fishing, skiing, hiking, and playing sports like softball. Above all else, David loved and cared for his family.

David is survived by his wife, Sandra Maguire, of the home; a son, Terry Adams (Jennifer) of Paragould; a daughter, Brandy Adams of Jonesboro; his mother, Julia O’Brien of Seattle; brothers, Steve Maguire (Beth) of Ohio and Charles Maguire (Yukiko) of Tokyo; a sister, Kathy Highsmith of Phoenix, AZ; six grandchildren, 3 boys and 3 girls; 3 great-grandchildren; and host of other family members.

Funeral services will be held at Emerson Funeral Home Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 10:00 am. A visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.

Due to COVID 19 guidelines, a facemask must be worn while in the chapel.
