David Lee Henley

November 11, 1957 — April 12, 2006

David Lee Henley, 48, of Spencer, West Virginia died Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas after a brief illness. He worked for FEMA disaster-relief in New Orleans, post-hurricane Katrina, and was a former employee of Spencer Veneer in Spencer, West Virginia. He enjoyed working with his hands, writing, and scenic photography.

David was a member of Knights of Kindness; a charitable organization designed to aid humanitarian need and encourages spiritual well-being. A born-again Christian, he attended Cornerstone Family Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas and inspired continued faith to many during his illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry W. and Madeline E. Henley of Virginia. Those left to cherish his memory include Mary Toothman and Kyra Mullins of Spencer, West Virginia along with a host of friends and family.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests considering lasting memorials made to The American Cancer Society in his honor.

Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro, Arkansas is in charge of arrangements.
