Dawayne Glasco, 77, a lifelong resident of Jonesboro, passed from this life to his Heavenly reward on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born in Jonesboro on October 29, 1946, to Alex Jr. and Ruby Alene Glasco. He was a member of the Valley View Missionary Baptist Church. He served his community as a member of the Valley View Volunteer Fire Department. He also served his country by serving in the US Army National Guard during the Vietnam War. Hunting and fishing were not only his pastime, but also his favorite Hobbies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna; and two brothers, Burnis and Mike.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Judy Glasco, of the home; daughters, Christy Bridgeman and husband Scott; Kelley Glasco and husband Tim Carley, all of Jonesboro; brother, Loran Glasco of Denver, North Carolina; sister, Vicki Copeland and husband Scotty of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Jacob Bridgeman, Olivia Bridgeman (Travis Owens); and Emily Dubar (Dustin); great grandchildren, Kadence, Fallon and Greyson.
Funeral services will be 2:00, Friday, February 2, 2024, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rick Hathcoat officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with Gary Maxwell, Anthony Mahan, Ronnie Brewer, Allen Edwards, Tony Beck and Jeremy Walker serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are B. J. Glasco and Harold Limbert. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time.
