David E. Frederick

David E. Frederick, 69, of Bay, died Saturday morning at St. Bernards Medical Center. He had lived in Bay since 1978, moving there from Jonesboro. He was a retired mail carrier for Pat Salmons & Sons and was of the Baptist belief. He loved metal detecting and especially liked to work on old lawnmowers.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary Frederick; his son, Daniel Frederick; his daughter and son-in-law, Tina & Dwayne Bishop, all of Bay; his sister, Dorothy Martinez, Salt Lake City, Utah; and his grandchildren, Brandon Bishop, Kyle Bishop, and Logan Bishop.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emerson Bailey & Edith Marie Simpson Frederick; and his brothers, Eugene Frederick, Emerson Frederick, Harold Frederick, and Marion Frederick.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bud Stahl officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be Paul Greenway, Richard Greenway, Sr., Terry Greenway, Sam Greenway, Perry Greenway, and John Hughes.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dwayne Bishop, Richard Greenway, Jr., Shannon Greenway, and Dennis Hardy.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
