David W. Doyle, 45, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday at his home. Born in Fort Eustis, Virginia, David had lived in Jonesboro for 10 years, moving here from Treasure Island, Florida. A member of First United Methodist Church, David had attended Arkansas State University for one year. He was a graduate of the Jewelry College in Paris, Texas, as well as the Gemological Institute of America in Santa Monica, California, and was a certified gemologist. David was a jewelry creator and was the jewelry buyer for the Home Shopping Network for 10 years, before branching out into his own jewelry business. He was an extensive international traveler with his jewelry business and was very well known throughout the international jewelry world. He loved scuba diving and had a heart for music. He had a lifetime subscription to Rolling Stone Magazine. David was a very generous man. He was the co-founder of Agape Home Orphanage in Thailand. Most importantly, David was saved at the age of 12 and is now with his Lord.
David is survived by his daughter, Rachel Lee Doyle, of the home; his parents, David L. & Kathryn Bilbrey Doyle, Jonesboro; brother and sister-in-law, Mike & Koy Doyle, Bangkok, Thailand; sisters and brother-in-law, Lisa L. Doyle, Angela K.& Don Liggett, all of Jonesboro; nieces and nephew, Leslie Goodman, Chris Goodman, Amber Stone, and April Liggett.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Ethan Doyle.
A memorial service in celebration of David’s life will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with John Miles officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors Saturday from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
