David Harvey Cline

November 15, 1953 — May 19, 2023

David Harvey Cline, 69, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, peacefully passed away on Friday May 19th in the year of our Lord 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.  David fought a hard battle with cancer but finally succumbed to a very aggressive form of the disease.  David will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife Laura and two sons, Wade and Dakota (Lani) and grandson Patrick.

David was born in Syracuse, New York in 1953. David was an Eagle Scout Badge recipient and went on to receive his undergraduate at Penn State University. In his younger adult life, he was an active member in the Shrine with his father.  David participated in a barbershop quartet and was a member of a jug band at Camp Horseshoe Scout Reservation.  He established himself as a financial advisor and planner for many.

David dedicated his life to the service of others, whether it be the forty-plus years of service to the Boy Scouts of America or his lifelong commitment to the church. Within the last decade he dedicated his time and care to helping stray dogs find safe forever homes with Angels to the Rescue and other rescue groups around the country.

David was a brother, a son, a lifetime friend, a great leader, an amazing golfer, and an even better father.  He was predeceased by his father, Harvey Walker Cline, and mother Alice Gafner Cline.  David is survived by brother Charles Cline (Brenda) and their sons, Matthew, Todd, Adam; and his sister Sandra Troester (John), along with their children John and Alexandra.

There will be a private family gathering at a later date.

For lasting memorials, the family asks to consider donations to the Jonesboro Humane Society.
