Dathel Griffin-Lee, 83, of Jonesboro passed from this life Sunday, November 9, 2014 at her home surrounded by family. Dathel was born June 5, 1931 in Osceola to the late Joseph and Ethel Griffin. She spent most of her life residing in the Jonesboro area where she was also of the Christian faith. Dathel was such a wonderful woman who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a great mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother throughout her life. Dathel was also very kind-hearted and over the years would open up her home to anyone who may have needed a place to stay.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Lee, of 61 years; one brother, and two sisters, one grandson: Jeffrey Lee, and son in law: Mike French.

Dathel is survived by three sons: Keith( Beverly) Lee of Paragould, Jeff(Janie) Lee of Brookland, and Barry Lee of Jonesboro, four daughters: Rhonda French of Jonesboro, Jane(Pete) Johnson of Bono, Libby(Tim) Faught of Jonesboro, and Missy(Danny) Mounce of Jonesboro, two brothers, three sisters, fifteen grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Pine Log Cemetery with Brother Don Vuncannon officiating. Active pallbearers include Mike Barnett, John Lee, Tim Faught, Tony Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Michael French, and Johnny Griffin. Honorary pallbearers include Tony Sharp, Mitchell Williams, Jack Griffin, and Pete Johnson.

Visitation will be at 12 to 1:30 Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Emerson Funeral Home.
