Darla Denise Malone, 61, departed this life on October 21, 2026, at her home in Batesville. She was born on August 22, 1965, to Harvey and Wanda Malone in Jonesboro and grew up in Lake City.

Darla earned a degree in nursing and had worked for Adoration Home Health for the past several years. She was of the Methodist faith. In her free time, she enjoyed camping, visiting the creek, shooting pool, shopping at TJ Maxx, and, most of all, spending time with her family. She will be remembered for the love she shared with those closest to her and the memories they made together.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Michael Anthony Sharp; her maternal grandparents, Iris and Floyd Harrison; her sister, Diane McClung; and her brothers, Dewaine and Russell Malone.

She is survived by her son, Asa Bomer of Batesville; and her brother, John Alton (Brenda) Malone of Lake City.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026, at Emerson Funeral Home, beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until the memorial service begins at 2:00 p.m., with Terry Beaty officiating.
