Daphine V Garner

Daphine V Garner, 88, of Jonesboro passed from this life Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born February 5, 1927 to the late Jim and Rosie L Gilley in Boonville, Mississippi. Daphine was of the Pentecostal belief. She loved spending time with her family going camping and fishing. Daphine also loved cooking, sewing and gardening.

In addition to her parents Daphine was preceded in death by her husband, John C Garner; 2 brothers: Dabner Gilley, Manuel Gilley and 1 sister, Vera Brown.

Survivors include her 2 sons: Terry (Jan) Garner, Ken (Chris) Garner; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Terry Snow officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
