Danny Ray Wilson a life-long resident of Northeast Arkansas living most of his life in the Bono area, left this earth January 17, 2021 to be with his loving wife. Danny was born on January 19, 1953 in Pocahontas, Arkansas, to James Washington Wilson Sr. and Mollie Britt Wilson. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Carmaletia Wilson, his mother and father, two grandsons: Dalton Wilson and Raymond McGinnis, three brothers, and two sisters.
Danny retired from Arkansas State University after 20 years of dedicated service. Most of that 20 years he spent working in Building Maintenance at the Service Center. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, and always seemed to have some sort of project going. Danny was a part of a big family and he had countless friends, which he greatly loved and enjoyed spending time with them. Danny had a big heart and was loved by many. Danny was known for always lending a helping hand when anyone was in need, but he was better known as the person to always make people laugh even in the most serious of moments.
He is survived by his son Travis Wilson, his daughters Deanna Holt and Mindy Holt-Crump, three brothers, Archie Wilson, John Wilson, and Bruce Wilson, two sisters Melissa Lawrence and Mary Wilson, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
