Danny Jewel Whitmire

Danny Jewel Whitmire, 71, of Bono passed from this life on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at his home. He was born on October 9, 1947 to the late Willard and Elsie Whitmire in Paul Switch, Arkansas. Danny was in the Heat and Air business for 16 years before retiring from Butterball after 12 years. He had many activities that he loved throughout his life; woodworking, gardening, hunting, and fishing. However, Danny’s family was the most important aspect of his life and he will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, Danny is preceded in death by his son, Danny Lee Whitmire; and brothers, Roger Whitmire and Tommy Whitmire.

Danny is survived by his wife, Brenda Whitmire and they would have been married for 50 years on December 2, 2018; sons, Scotty Whitmire (Sandra) of Bono and Brandon Whitmire (Whitney) of Harrisburg, Illinois; daughter-in-law, Raelene Whitmire of Jonesboro; brother, Dennis Whitmire of Rockford, Illinois; grandchildren, Drake Whitmire, Brock Whitmire, Bree Whitmire, Daniel Holland, and Tiffany Holland; and great grandson, Little S.J.

A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Bono Community Center.
