Danny Lee “Sputnik” Scott, 53, of Jonesboro, passed away Sunday October 21, 2007 at his residence.

He was born in Jonesboro and had lived in Jonesboro most of his life. He was a concrete finisher and a member of the Freedom Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his father: Clarence Scott, four brothers: Leroy Scott, J.W.Scott, Carl Scott and Elbert Scott. One sister: Ethel Mae Christie.

Survived by his mother: Marie Loggains Scott of Jonesboro.

One son: Brian Scott and his wife Erika of Sherwood, Arkansas.

One daughter: Angela Sutterfield and her husband David of Jonesboro.

Two brothers: Wayne Scott of Bloomington, Michigan.
Ronnie Scott of Benton Harbor, Michigan.

Eight sisters: Margie Woods, Marilyn (Scott) Cook, Dianne Gibson, Judy Glasco, Sharron Pierce and Renae Barnett all of Jonesboro. Betty Kinnett of Brookland and Darlene Austin of Dallas, Texas.

Six grandchildren: Emma Marie-Claire Scott, Elizabeth Kate Scott, Alexius Mackenzie Foster, Ethan Allen Foster, Noah Jacob Sutterfield and Arabella Olivia Sutterfield.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday October 24, 2007 at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Reverend Billy Moore officiating. Burial will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 5 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday October 23, 2007 at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers will be: Jeff Prestidge, Chris Austin, Eric Watkins, Tony Beck, Scott Bridgeman and David Ellison.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Billy James, Wayne E. Scott, Ernie Walker, Franklin Barnett, Imogene Johnson, Robert Loggains, Kenneth Loggains, Floyd Loggains, Curry Loggains and Leeroy Loggains.
