Danny Ray Reeves

Danny Reeves, 51, went to be with our Heavenly Father and his son, Christopher Reeves on February 5, 2010 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was surrounded by his family and close friends in his last few hours. He lived in Jonesboro most of his life and attended Trinity Church. He was well-known for his involvement in youth sports. He also was an avid hunter and had a true love for bass fishing which he shared with his son.

He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Danny is survived by his daughters, Chelsey and Chloe Reeves; his parents, Troy & Melba Reeves, all of Jonesboro; sisters, Patricia Oosterhuis, Gulfport, Mississippi, Glenda Silsbee, Jonesboro, Penny Guntharp, Paragould; brothers, Ronnie Reeves, Jonesboro, and Donny Reeves, Forrest City.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Steven Farmer and Jeff Pagan officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be Brett Tate, Ronnie Reeves, Donny Reeves, Shelby Clark, Marty Bennett, Scott Arender, Terry Wicker, Rick Wilson, and Andy Reece.

Honorary pallbearers are Mark Pearson, Mickey Felts, Jeromy Holladay, Jimmy Goodman, Dr. Jason Casey, CWL Employees, Dr. Gina McNew, and the staff of SICU.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
