Danny Ray Pierce

Danny Ray Pierce, 60 of Jonesboro died Thursday April 14, at his home. He was born and lived his lifetime in Jonesboro and was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church.

He was a retired postal clerk of 37 years for the U.S. Postal Service and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his father Earnest Pierce and his sister Frankie Sue Stephens.

Survived by his son, Jason Michael Pierce (Michelle Palmer) of Jonesboro.
Daughter, Dana Renee Pierce of Jonesboro.
Mother, Jacqueline Pierce of Jonesboro.

Nephew, Kevin D. Stephens, Brother-in-law, Ralph Stephens, numerous cousins and 2 aunts.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday April 18, at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Curtis Shatley officiating. Burial will be at Pierce Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M. Sunday April 17, 2011 at the Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Joe Pierce, Mike Horton, Jim Smith, David Smith, Jerry Hathcoat, and Jimmy Griffin.
