Danny Max Morrison

Danny Max Morrison, 66, of Bay, died Monday, March 7, 2011 at his home. He had lived in Bay most of his life and a member of the Bay United Methodist Church. He was a pastor at the Warren’s Chapel and Wood’s Chapel in Greene County. Danny was the President of the Marked Tree Lions Club and was a member of the 1965 Bay High School Championship Baseball Team. He worked at Farm Credit and Financial Services for agri-business and was in the first graduating class of ASU in 1967, which was formerly ASC. He had a Bachelor of Science Degree with a minor in Chemistry and taught for ten years in the Weiner and Osceola School System. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Max Morrison.

Survivors include sons, John Morrison and wife Teresa of Humboldt, Tennessee; Hayden Morrison of Jonesboro; daughter, Ann-Michele Crawley and husband, Brad of Jonesboro; brother , David Morrison and wife Jan of Omaha, Nebraska; sister Terri Craft and husband, Darrell of Weiner, Arkansas; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 P.M., at the Bay United Methodist Church with Curt Bogan, Bob Turman and Heath Williams officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Honorary pallbearers are the Class of 1963. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from noon until service time on Wednesday at the church.
