Danny Lee Whitmire

Danny Lee Whitmire, 48, of Jonesboro passed from this life Monday, April 23, 2018 at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital in Humble, Texas. Danny was born on September 5, 1969 to Danny and Brenda Whitmire in Rockford, Illinois.

Danny lived his entire life in the Jonesboro area and was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church in Benton.

He loved softball and golf. Danny was an avid gardener and loved yard work and just being outside. Most of all, Danny loved his family and would do anything to help others.

Danny is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; father in law: Ray Gibbs; uncle: Roger Whitmire; and aunt: Debbie Austin.

Danny is survived by his wife, Raelene Whitmire, of the home; parents: Danny and Brenda Whitmire of Bono; two brothers: Scotty (Sandra) Whitmire of Bono and Brandon (Whitney) Whitmire of Harrisburg, Illinois; brother and sister in law: Brian(Laura) Gibbs of Bono; fourteen nieces and nephews: Drake Whitmire, Brock Whitmire, Bree Whitmire, Brian Gibbs II, Briana Gibbs Cook, Riley Gibbs, Remmington Gibbs, Brantley Gibbs, Sophia Gibbs, Lillian Gibbs, Daniel Holland, Tiffany Holland, Ronnie Maggard and Christina Maggard; and a host of family and friends.

A memorial service will be from 2-5 pm Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Poplar Valley Baptist Church at Pauls Switch with Jim Hillyer officiating.

Burial will be private
