Danny Kee

Danny Kee, 66, of Jonesboro, gracefully stepped into Heaven on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Craighead County Nursing Center in Jonesboro. Born to the late Oscar and Lillie Kee in Jonesboro on August 7, 1957, Danny's life was a testament to compassion, artistry, and love.

Danny's journey unfolded between Jonesboro and Caraway, with a brief sojourn in Memphis. A devoted member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Danny's faith guided his path. Professionally, he dedicated himself to nursing since 1977 and served as a transplant ICU nurse at Methodist Le Bonheur.

Beyond his medical vocation, Danny was a multifaceted artist—a talented composer, pianist, and singer. For many years, he generously shared his musical gifts by teaching voice and piano lessons. His passion extended to his roles in the Southern Harmony Quartet and the Memphis Men's Chorale. Danny's scholarly pursuits adorned him with numerous awards and accolades, a testament to his dedication and excellence.

Amidst his achievements, Danny held a deep and abiding love for his family. His nieces, Amanda Little and Ann Marie Burch, were more than family; they were his everything. Preceding him in death was his sister, Janis Kee Barker.

Surviving him are his nieces, Amanda (Jim) Little and Ann Marie (Eric) Burch, along with their children, Beau Alexander, Hayden Burch, and Blane Smith, all residing in Jonesboro.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at a visitation scheduled from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. A funeral service, officiated by Father Kevin Gore, will follow at 10:30 am. Burial will take place at Caraway Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Eric Burch, Jim Little, Beau Alexander, Blane Smith, Hayden Burch, and Keith Hamilton, with honorary pallbearers Mike Wade and Ben Gibson.
