Danny E. Holt

Danny E. Holt, 63, of Horseshoe Lake died January 21, 2012 at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. A hard working and generous man, he was known for his honesty and integrity. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He lived a simple life and loved to talk and joke. He and his wife the love of his life were owner and operator of D&M Services in the Horseshoe area.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Holt of the home; sons, David Bye, Monette, Wes Holt, Jonesboro; grandchildren, Phelicia Nicole, Weston Barrett, Tristan Nicole; brothers, Howard Holt and J.L. Holt, both of Illinois; sister, Nadine Vankirk of Lake City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther & Ruby Doty Holt; 3 brothers; and 5 uncles.

Graveside services will be at noon Monday, January 23, 2012 at Lake City Cemetery with Pastor Mike Martin officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
