Danny Ray Cochran, 66, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born in Manila on January 27, 1951 to the late John and Opal Cochran. Danny retired from Great Dane Trailers and was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, golfing, and wood working, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Danny is preceded in death by his brother, J.W. Cochran Jr.
Danny is survived by his wife of 39 years, Genna Cochran of Jonesboro; son, Jason Cochran (Kelli) of Jonesboro; daughter Ashley Jones (Chris) of Birmingham, Alabama; brothers, Wayne Cochran of Conway, Arkansas and Richard (Beth) Cochran of Dawson, Georgia; sisters, Linda Schultz of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Carolyn (Nelson) McCullough of Kennett, Missouri; special mother-in-law, Delphia Waddell of Manila; grandchildren, Caden Cochran, Claire Cochran, Kinsley Jones, Paxton Jones, and Elias Jones. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Drs. William Hurst, Stephen Golden, and Ben Owens.
The visitation will be held from
5:00-7:00 pm
on Sunday
evening. A celebration of life will be held at
2:00 p.m.
on
Monday, December 11, 2017
at Emerson Funeral Home with Reverend Chris Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Manila Cemetery with the active pallbearers being nephews Adam McCullough, Rich Cochran, Chad Waddell, and Will Stone; friends Gerald Brown and Brian Kelly.
