Danny Ray Blackwood

Danny Ray Blackwood, 52, of Jonesboro passed from this life Monday, January 2, 2017 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He was born on June 17, 1964 in Paragould to Rex Blackwood and Dianna Brown.

Danny has lived in Jonesboro for the past 33 years after coming from Paragould. Danny was of the Baptist belief. He was such a creative person who loved the Christmas season. Danny was a long time Hair Stylist who loved his clientele very much.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Kelley and Ruth Blackwood; and his Maternal grandmother: Mary Denham.

Danny is survived by his Father: Rex (Karla) Blackwood of Paragould: mother: Dianna (Elmer) Brown of Jonesboro; two sons: Kelley Blackwood and Mitchell Blackwood; his Brother Kenyan Huggins; his Goddaughters Brittany Ridge and Meagan Davis; his God Grandchildren Brylei and Sean-Lawson Ridge.

A visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home.

Burial will be private.
