Daniel Wayne "Danny" West

Daniel Wayne “Danny” West, 48, of rural Jonesboro, died Sunday evening near his home when flood water swept his car off of the road. His wife Judy West was a passenger in the vehicle and lost her life too.

Born in Cardwell, Missouri, Danny lived most of his life in Jonesboro. He was a roofer several years for Jonesboro Roofing Company and Arkansas State University Physical Plant. He was a Baptist.

In addition to his wife, Danny was preceded in death by his father, Frank West, and a sister, Chriss Pittman.

Survivors include 1 son: Eric West of Jonesboro;

1 daughter: Taylor West of Jonesboro;

His mother: Nina West Gramling of Jonesboro;

1 sister: Shena Burrow of Bay; and

2 brothers: David West of Jonesboro and Ted West of Wynne.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bobby Burrow officiating.

Burial will be private.

There will be no visitation.
