Damien Dillion Schmersal

Damien Dillion Schmersal, 1 month old, of Jonesboro met the eyes of Jesus on Thursday, December 9th, 2021. He was at home with his family when Jesus called him home. Damien was born November 6th at 12:34 a.m. 17 minutes before his twin sister. His entrance into the world was loud, fast, and fierce. He lit a spark in his family that will not be diminished. He was a sweet little boy who touched the hearts of his entire family. He was loved from the moment his existence was known and he will be carried in the hearts of all.

Damien was the son of Brandon & Micah Schmersal and brother to 2 siblings: Aiden & Evelyn Schmersal, of the home.

He is the grandson of Chad Schmersal of Jonesboro, Mona Dant of Euless, Texas, Tracy Blevins of Jonesboro and Charles “Ed” Blevins of Pocahontas.

He is the great grandson of Paul Schmersal of Ottawa, Ohio, Jan (Bill) Vonlehmden of Ottoville, Ohio, Audrey Hood of Kennett, James Lilly of Jonesboro and Rose Blevins of Pocahontas

Damien had four special people waiting for him as he entered into heaven, William Summers of Kennett, Emory Blevins of Pocahontas, Geraldean Lilly of Jonesboro and Kathy Dearing of Kennett.

He is also survived by a large extensive family that includes a multitude of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Funeral service will be Thursday, December 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Tony Becker officiating. Burial will follow at McDaniel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
