Dale Sharp

December 19, 1932 — March 27, 2024

Jonesboro, AR – Dale Sharp, 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born on December 19, 1932, in Ash Flat, Arkansas, to the late Guy and Opal Sharp.

Dale led a remarkable life, marked by service, entrepreneurship, and a passion for adventure. He retired from the Air Force with the rank of Master Sergeant, dedicating years of his life to his country with honor and distinction. Following his military career, Dale embarked on a new journey as the proud owner and operator of Sharp Aviation, a business he nurtured and grew for over four decades.

An adventurous spirit, Dale found joy in the open road and the open sky. He was an avid motorcyclist, feeling the wind rush past him as he explored new horizons. Additionally, he pursued his love for flying recreationally, finding solace and freedom in the clouds above.

Dale's enthusiasm wasn't limited to the air and roads; he was also a devoted car enthusiast, particularly enamored with sports cars. His appreciation for fine automobiles was matched only by his love for the thrill of speed and the elegance of engineering.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gisele Sharp, as well as his brothers, Travis Sharp and Stephen Sharp, sisters, Katherine Parvin and Paula Romine; and brother-in-laws, Jake Johnson, Bob Martin, Dennis Seiwert, Harvey Heinz and Randy Romine.
