Dale Franklin McCrosky, 74 of Jonesboro and formerly of West Memphis, died Monday April 4 in Jonesboro. Mr. McCrosky was a local favorite in West Memphis, having served as manager of the old Holiday Twin movie theater for decades and also for penning an entertainment column in the Evening Times for several years. He was known for his constant wit and outgoing personality. He was a former president of the Lions Club in West Memphis and co-founder of the Bob Davis Classic golf tournament in Memphis.
He is survived by his wife Freda Joan McCrosky of the home; sons David McCrosky of Jonesboro, Daniel McCrosky of Butler, Penn. and Vince Jay McCrosky of Cabool, Mo.; stepsons Tom Cunningham of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Jason Cunningham of Denver, CO; daughter Debbie Bellingham of McMinnville, Or; brother Mike McCrosky (Sue) of Buford, Ga. and 12 grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro, AR and graveside services will be held Thursday at noon at Crittenden Memorial Park Cemetery in Marion, AR. Mr. McCrosky's son, Daniel, will officiate the graveside service and his granddaughter, Erin McCrosky, will sing.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that consideration be given to The American Heart Association.
