Curtis Dewayne Goad, 72, of Arlington, Tennessee formerly of Brookland passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at his home. He was born June 18, 1950 in Lake City to the late Kirt and Juanita Goad. Curtis was a veteran of the United States Army and honorably served in Vietnam. For his service, he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal, among other awards. Curtis was a former employee of Hytrol. He enjoyed wood working, collecting coins, riding motorcycles, playing his guitars and also cooking for his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Curtis was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Goad.
Survivors include 3 sons, Scott (Teresa) Goad, Blake (Angela) Goad both of Jonesboro, Joshua (Rachel) Bond of Arlington; 1 sister, Darla (Garry) Tate of Jonesboro; 5 grandchildren: Michael Bond, Dariane Bond both of Arlington, Jax Goad of Jonesboro, Alyssa Covarrubias and Abigayle Bond both of Arlington.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Blake Lamberson officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
