Craig Treadway Iii

Marvin “Craig” Treadway III of Jonesboro passed from this life Monday, October 3, 2022 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born to the late Marvin and Helen Treadway Jr. on March 9, 1943 here in Jonesboro.

Craig lived most of his life residing in Jonesboro after spending a brief stint in Little Rock for about 10 years.  He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church. He was a former member of the Elks Lodge. Early in Craig’s life he served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. Craig spent many years working as a master electrician.   He enjoyed doing yard work and spending time outdoors. He also enjoyed volunteering at the Care Center associated with First Baptist. Craig was an avid reader and enjoyed tinkering and fixing things in his spare time. Most of all, Craig loved his grandkids.

In addition to his parents, Craig is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth E. Treadway.

Craig is survived by his two sons, Chris (Meridith) Treadway of Bono and Chandler (Ashley) Treadway of Jonesboro; brother, Steve (Roberta) Treadway of Jonesboro; sister, Pamela Williams of Hot Springs Village; and two grandchildren, Adalyn and Bailey Treadway.

A visitation will be from 1-2 pm Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A funeral service will follow at 2 pm Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home with Bro. Steven Dew officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include: Chris Treadway, Chandler Treadway, Ty Barkley, Caleb Barkley, Garland Webb, and Chris Shepherd.
