Corine Iselin

Corine T. Iselin, 73, born and raised in Jonesboro, died Friday, April 28, during her short stay in Houston.

A graduate of Jonesboro High, Arkansas State University and the University of Arizona, she believed deeply in education and enjoyed teaching in Pine Bluff, Arizona, California, and Kansas. She was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church, active in missions outreach and awareness, corresponding with missionaries around the world and hosting missionaries on furlough in her home.

Surviving are her daughter, Laura Allen of Tucson, AZ, her son, Louis Henry Iselin of Cypress, TX, two sisters, Carolyn T. Fouts of Eloy, AZ, Lynda T. Gifford of Oceanside, CA, four grandchildren, three-great grandchildren, three nieces, a nephew, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry A. and Beulah C. Trinkaus, and a brother Arlin Rayford, all of Jonesboro.

Friends and neighbors are invited to the viewing 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at Emerson Funeral Home. Interment will be privately held. The memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Walnut Street Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Shatley officiating.
