Cora Haas

Cora Haas, 88 of Jonesboro passed from this life Friday, July 31, 2014 at St. Bernards Hospital. She was born March 22, 1926 in Morton Mills, Iowa to Henry and Delphia Doggett McCue. Cora and her recently deceased husband, Donald, lived in Arkansas since 1976. She spent many years working as a nurse’s aide and was also the owner/operator of serveral restaurants. She was a member of the New Life Fellowship church. She loved her family, church, cooking and crocheting.

Cora is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and a granddaughter. Survivors include 2 daughter, Donna and husband Michael Parker of Jonesboro and their children Mollie and Adam, Cathi and husband Jim Thompson of Jonesboro; two sons, Jonathan and wife Becky Haas of Johnson City, TN and their children David and Chris, Tim and wife Becky Haas of Omaha, Nebraska; and their children Ryan and Tracy.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 4-6 PM at Emerson Funeral Home. Service will be Monday, August 4, 2014 at 2 PM at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rick Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Adam Parker, Christopher Haas, David Haas, Ryan Haas, Jonathan Haas and Tim Haas.
