Connie Rose Matthews

Connie Rose Matthews, 52, of Brookland, past from this life Friday, September 19, 2014 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. Connie was born in Jonesboro, on April 17, 1962 to the late LC and Goldie Rose. She lived most of her life in Brookland. Connie was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with Mike and Michael.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by one sister; Leota Rose, and one brother; Buddy Rose.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Mike Matthews of the home. Her son; Michael (Sarah) Matthews, one brother; Lonnie (Donna) Rose, sisters: Mary (Donald) Reed, Helen (Leamon) Lee, and Sherry (Charlie) Byrd.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 10:00 am in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Charles Privett officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, at Emerson Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm.
