Connie Sue Baney

Connie Sue Baney, 64, of Jonesboro passed from this life Friday February 5, 2016 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. She was born April 18, 1951 in Caraway, Arkansas to Harold and Laura Bell Bond. Connie has resided in Jonesboro. She was also of the Baptist belief. Connie was a beautician and loved her profession as well as her customers. Connie loved spending time with family and especially her grandkids. She enjoyed days playing outdoors and going to museums with her grandchildren as well. Most of all she enjoyed sitting outside and watching the rain.

In addition to her father, Connie is preceded in death by her Husband of forty-four years, Johnny Baney; sister: Dorothy Bond; and granddaughter Emily Claire Whitmire.

Connie is survived by her mother: Laura Bell Minick; one son: Scott (Lindsay) Baney of Jonesboro; two daughters: Shanna (Mark) Whitmire and Kassie (Douglas) Pruitt both of Jonesboro; four brothers: Richard (Cindy) Bond, William (Sue) Bond, Gary Bond, and David Bond; four sisters: Mary Ellen Smith, Georgia(Houston) Thomas; Vickie(Steve) Hickey, and Laura (Monte) Cudd; and five grandchildren: Faith Whitmire, Eli Whitmire, Madison Baney, Brooklyn Baney, and Ondrea Pruitt.

A visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 pm Monday, February 8, 2016 at Emerson funeral Home.

A funeral service will be at 2:30 pm Monday, February 8, 2016 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Gary Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Boliver cemetery in Harrisburg. Active pallbearers will include: Jeff Baney, Aaron Baney, Theron Baney, Michael Anderson, Bryan Baney, Adam Bond, and Jason Cudd.
