Colene Flynt Pugh

Colene Flynt Pugh, 89, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, September 6, 2015 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. She had lived most of her adult life in Jonesboro. Colene was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was very active in the Altrusa Club, Beta Sigma Phi and was a proud supporter of the ASU Women’s Basketball program. Colene was preceded in death by her husbands, Shelton Gerard Flynt, and Geoffrey H. Pugh; daughter-in-law, Sandra Koehn Flynt; her parents and two brothers.

Survivors include her son, Keith Flynt of Carbondale, Illinois; daughters, Jan Flynt Shumate (Jack) of Panama City, Florida; Debbie Flynt Sitz (Rick) of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Holly Garner, Koehn Flynt, Josh Flynt, Jake Sitz, and Jackson Sitz; great grandchild, Oakley Sitz.

Funeral services will be 1:30, Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bruce Venable officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 12:30 – 1:30 at the Emerson Chapel.
