Colby Ryan Mitchell

Colby Ryan Mitchell passed away due to complications from his Type 1 Diabetes at St. Bernard’s Hospital on August 29, 2024. Colby was born in Jonesboro, AR to Candi Gazaway Mitchell and the late Charles Mitchell, Jr.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, September 6th at 11:30 a.m. at the First Assembly of God church in Pocahontas, AR.

Colby was a lover of music, family, and laughing. He could light up any room he entered, and crack a joke to make even the most serious of people crack with laughter. Whether he was plucking his guitar, chasing after his niece and nephew, or pestering his mom and/or sister; he did absolutely everything with love, peace, and passion.

Colby is preceded in death by his father, Charles Mitchell, Jr., paternal grandfather, Charles Mitchell, Sr., and paternal aunt Misty Barnett.

Colby is survived in death by his mother Candi Mitchell (Jonesboro), sister Cathlyn (Mitchell) Moore (Jonesboro), niece and nephew, Cambree and Caven Moore (Jonesboro), step-mother, Shelley Elugbe (Ime) (Brookland), step-brother, Shawn Proctor (nephew Elias Proctor) (Jonesboro), maternal grandparents, Rudy and Betty Gazaway (Pocahontas), paternal grandmother, Geneva (June) Mitchell (Pocahontas), fur baby Mojo Rising, and many, many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
