Cody Jacob Pemberton

Cody Jacob Pemberton, 16, of Brookland died, Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in Brookland.

Cody was born on August 13, 1998 in Jonesboro to Barry and Sarah Bingham Pemberton. He lived all his life in the Brookland area, and attended the Brookland Public Schools. He was a member of the Brookland Senior High Football Team, and he was also a member of the Nettleton Baptist Church. His sweet smile and fun loving personality will be missed but not forgotten.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Norma Pemberton; and one uncle, Barton Pemberton.

Cody is survived by his parents; Barry and Sarah Pemberton of Brookland; maternal grandparents, Walter and Joan Bingham of Heber Springs; paternal grandfather, Al Pemberton of Jonesboro, paternal grandmother, Terry Pemberton of Arlington, VA; maternal aunts, Lee Ann Gray (Mark) of Bentonville, Rebecca Moore (Russell) Wichita Falls , TX; maternal uncle, Mark Bingham of Garner; paternal aunt, Monica (Toby) Alexander of Jonesboro, and Tammie Groves of Brookland; and a host of other family and numerous friends.

Funeral service will be Friday morning at 10am at Nettleton Baptist Church with Dr. Stan Ballard and Chris Ratley officiating. Interment will directly follow at Rutherford Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be the Brookland Senior High Football Team. Honorary pallbearers will be the graduating class of 2016.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8pm at Nettleton Baptist Church.
