Cody A. Morgan

Cody Andrew Morgan, 19, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, August 30, 2015, at his father's home in southern Greene County near Brookland in a tragic vehicle accident.

Cody was born in Jonesboro and lived in the Jonesboro area before moving to League City, Texas, in 2005. He lived in League City until moving back to Jonesboro 2 months ago. He was a landscaper and enjoyed working on cars. Cody attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and enjoyed target shooting, fishing, spending time near the ocean and playing to free-style rap. Cody really enjoyed being around people. He took it as his personal responsibility to make everyone around him laugh and smile.

Cody was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Alvie Coleman, and his paternal grandparents: Luther and Wanda Morgan.

Survivors include his mother and step father, Yvonne and Cory Yaunk of Fort Myers, Florida;
His father, Donnie Morgan of Brookland;
His maternal grandmother, Dorothy Coleman of Jonesboro;
4 brothers: Austin Taylor (Hannah) and Chad Yaunk (Stephanie), all of League City, Texas, and
Heath Morgan and Hunter Morgan, both of Jonesboro;
4 sisters: Jennifer Huff (Jonathan) of Cabot, Janessa Smith (Daniel) of Jonesboro, and
Danielle Yaunk and Stephanie Yaunk both of Fort Madison, Iowa; and
Several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held Thursday beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Emerson Chapel.

Honorary pallbearers include Austin Taylor, Devin Moore, Tyler Swan, Zach Baker, Heath Morgan, Greg Robinson, Tony Smith, Chad Yaunk, Johnny Moss, Hunter Morgan and C.J. Vanier.

A Rosary service will be held Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel.
