Clyde Edward Grimsley

Clyde Edward Grimsley, a beloved member of the Ravenden, Arkansas community, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at the age of 62. He was born in St. Pete, Florida on January 7, 1961, to the late Arthur A. Grimsley and Reba Grimsley.

Clyde was former resident of Trumann, Arkansas who in 1996 moved to Ravenden, Arkansas where he would call home for the remainder of his life.

Eddie had a love for life and cherished the simple pleasures it offered. He found joy in fishing, a pastime that brought him closer to nature and provided moments of serenity. Additionally, he had a passion for chess, engaging in strategic battles of intellect. However, Clyde was best known for his infectious sense of humor. He had a natural talent for making others laugh and brightening their days with his comedic wit.

Above all, Clyde will be remembered as a great friend and a cherished family member to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His warm heart and genuine care for others left a permanent mark on the lives he touched.

Eddie was preceded in death by his loving paternal and maternal grandparents, his parents Arthur and Reba, his brother, and sister.

He is survived by his brother David Grimsley of Dallas, Texas, and his sister Jerrie Deloach of Ravenden. He was also a beloved brother-in-law to Jimmy Deloach of Ravenden. Clyde will be deeply missed by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, whose lives were enriched by his presence.

A memorial service to celebrate Eddie's life will be held at a later date where family, friends, and community members will gather to honor and remember his legacy.

Clyde Edward Grimsley will forever be treasured in the hearts of those who loved him. May he find eternal peace and rest, knowing that his legacy of laughter and love lives on in the memories of all who had the privilege of sharing their lives with him.
