Cloma Bobbitt

February 22, 1915 — January 22, 2008

Cloma Bobbitt, 92, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday at Trumann Health and Rehab Center.

Born in the LaNieve community near Paul Switch, Cloma lived many years in the area before moving to Jonesboro in 1971. She was a homemaker and worked several years for the Bono School District.

Cloma was a member of University Baptist Church in Jonesboro, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. She was a member of Good Sam’s Club and sang in a Gospel Quartet.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Bobbitt, by a son: Donald Pettit, and by a granddaughter: Sheila Noles.

Survivors include:
4 Grandchildren: Todd Pettit of Jonesboro,
Matt Pettit of Tuckerman,
Donna Decker of Garland, Texas, and
Saborah Puckett of Paragould;

9 Great Grandchildren;

7 Great, Great Grandchildren; and

1 Daughter-in-law: Sue Pettit Adams of Jonesboro.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 in Jonesboro Memorial Park with Rev. Michael Blackwood officiating, with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers include: Clay Knight, Ronnie Knight, Byron Knight, Kevin Knight,
Karry Knight and Micah Knight.

For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to University Baptist Church, 500 Pepper Street, Jonesboro, AR 72401.

There will be no visitation.
