Clifford Eugene Trotter

Clifford Eugene Trotter, 75 of Jonesboro passed from this life Thursday, April 21, 2016 at St. Bernards Medical Center after a long battle with ALS. He was born September 8, 1940 in Caraway to the late Grover Trotter and Ruby Trotter Herring. Eugene was a member and former elder of Greensboro Road Church of Christ where he was also a bible class teacher. Eugene served in the Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He married his wife Frances Hutson on September 30, 1966. Eugene worked 30 years for ADT Manufacturing and later retired from Crane Kemlite after 10 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by his stepfather, Gilbert Herring.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Frances Trotter of the home; sons, Mark Trotter, and Kevin Trotter of Jonesboro; 1 brother, Kenneth (Linda) Trotter of Crossville, Tennesse and 1 sister, Marcella (Wayne) Martin of Jonesboro.

Graveside service will be Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 2:00 pm in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Terry Joe Kee officiating and active pallbearers being Jody Pickens, Randy Oden, Dan Nichols, John Robertson, Brian Davis, and Bill Willard.

Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.
