Clida Hampton

Clida Sharon Hampton, 72, of Bay, passed from this life Friday, March 8, 2019 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born March 8, 1947 in Jonesboro to the late Buford and Virginia Armstrong.

Clida has lived in the Bay area for over 40 years and is said to have loved art, camping, and traveling across the United States.

In addition to her parents, Clida is preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Armstrong and a daughter, Kimberly Anne Hoffman.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ray Hampton, of the home; sons, James P. Samu of Harrisburg and Allen (Heather) Hampton of Bay; daughters, Virginia Samu of Bay and Stacey (Jason) McGowan of Lake City; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Emerson Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Taylor officiating. Burial will be private.
