Cleta F. Henry, 92, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, June 23, 2012, at her home.
Born in Enola, Arkansas, Cleta lived in Mount Vernon in Faulkner County before moving to Jonesboro in 1991. She was a homemaker and a member of Alsup Pentecostal Church south of Jonesboro.
Cleta enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening and cooking for her family. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorathy Ann Henry, her husband, Coy B. Henry, by a son-in-law, Vercieal Adams, by a grandson, Sonny Adams and by a brother, Voyd Roland. She was a beloved mother and grandmother.
Survivors include a daughter, Nell N. Adams of Bono;
1 sister, Beatrice Ussery of Modesto, California;
9 grandchildren, Glenda Adams, Rickey Adams, Shera McMurry, Richard Gum, Kathy Gum, Kenneth Gum, April Millsap, Allen Adams and Kelly Adams;
7 great grandchildren: Dottie Dickson, Lauri Gilmer, Kelsey Adams, Brody McMurry, Easton Adams, Cage Millsap and Nellie McMurry; and
2 great, great grandchildren: Jerry Dale Adams and John Dickson, III.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 in Hawthicket Cemetery located off of Highway 36, between Naylor and Mt. Vernon in Faulkner County. Richard Gum will officiate with Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers include Lloyd King, Rickey Adams, Allen Adams, Richard Gum, Kenneth Gum and Joe Barrett. Honorary pallbearers include great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, 6-8, at Emerson Funeral Home.
