Clarence “Junior” Fisher, 90, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, January 25, 2020, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He had lived in Jonesboro since 1960, moving here from Indiana. He was a charter member of Cathedral Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for many years. He was a member of the Jonesboro Masonic Lodge #129 and a member of the American Legion Pickett Post #21. He and his wife loved to fish and had homes near the water in Florida, Mississippi and Mountain Home. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Alta Fisher, of the home; sons, Billy Fisher and his wife, Denise Fisher of North Little Rock and Michael Fisher of Jonesboro; brother, Bill Fisher and his wife Jean; grandchildren, Stacey Sproles and her husband Scotty; and Brad Fisher; two great grandchildren Adam Sproles and Lydia Sproles.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ken Beaver officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with Brad Fisher, Scotty Sproles, Adam Sproles, Bryson Beaver, Michael Arant III, Michael Arant IV and Tim “Doc” Holliday serving as pallbearers.
