Clarence Ellis Byford

Clarence Ellis Byford, 85, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He was born in West Ridge, Arkansas and moved from West Memphis, Arkansas in 1998 to Jonesboro. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Army and of the Baptist Belief.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Odelle Byford, and his parents, Florence and John Byford.

He is survived by his son Junior Byford, and his wife Dorothy, of Jonesboro; one granddaughter, Rhonda Gottfried, Jonesboro; two great grandchildren, Sasha Byford and Hali Brooks, both of Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Bill Maxwell officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A Committal service will be at 12:00 at Potter’s Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Brian Brooks, Buddy Helton, John Dunman, Louis Ralph, Ronnie Ralph.

Visitation will be from 5 00 – 7:00 Wednesday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
