Mr. Clarence L. “Butch” Coleman of Jonesboro, formerly of Cabot departed this life on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at his home at the age of 71. He was born November 14, 1949, in Kennett, MO to the late Wade Russell Sr. and Zobeida Sullivan Coleman.
Butch was a retired Postal Worker and an Air Force Veteran who served in Vietnam. He was a member of Community Fellowship Church in Jonesboro. Butch could often be found out in his shop just piddling with things. He would spend time watching the St. Louis Cardinals, working in the yard, running his stump-grinding business, and most of all loved spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents Butch is preceded in death by one brother William Russell Coleman..
He is survived by his wife of 31 years Olivia Coleman of the home, who was his high school sweetheart, best friend and absolute love of his life; one son, Wade Russell Coleman, II of Jonesboro; two daughters, Terri (Louis) Wilson of Jonesboro, Jamie Brewer of Jonesboro; two brothers, John Gaylon Coleman of Jonesboro, Jerry (Patricia) Coleman of Cabot; two sisters, Barbara Curtner of Jonesboro, Nancy (Duane) Whitfield of San Antonio, TX; one mother-in-law, Betty Walton of the home; one brother-in-law, John Walton of East Prairie, MO; four grandchildren, Derek (Hannah) Phillips of Jonesboro, Tyler (Pandora) Phillips of Jonesboro, Jo Ann (Quincy) Wells of Jonesboro, Callie Coleman of Gatesville, TX; seven great grandchildren, Derek Phillips Jr., Sawyer Jane Phillips(To be born in December), Ezra, Easton, Everleigh and Elessi Phillips, Quincy Wells Jr; several nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at Emerson Memorial Chapel, Tuesday, October 12, 2021, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park with Pastor Dave Burgess and Pastor Chad Wood officiating. Pallbearers will include Ron Coleman, Terry Coleman, John Whitfield, Mark Coleman, Louis Wilson, and Chad Moody. Honorary pallbearers will include John Walton, Corby Slaughter, Michael Gregson.
