Clarence Owen Bunch, Jr., 78, a cherished member of the Needham Community, passed away on November 16, 2023, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born on April 9, 1945, to the late Clarence Owen Bunch Sr. and Audrey Louise Bunch in Monette, AR.
Clarence, retired as the owner-operator of his truck company. He was an active member of Needham Baptist Church. A man of diverse interests, Clarence found joy in the thrill of stock car racing and drag racing. He was a skilled mechanic, always eager to tinker and work on old cars, showcasing his passion for craftsmanship. His adventurous spirit extended to his love for hunting and riding motorcycles.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Ida Mae Bunch. He is survived by his loving son, Clarence Bunch III (Julie) of Bono, and daughter, Kimberly Baker (Brent) of Trumann. His memory is also cherished by his brother, Madison Bunch (Skye) of Warren, MI, and sister, Martha Bunch of Trumann.
His legacy continues through his seven grandchildren: Evan Bunch (Alicia), Haylee Clark, Hannah Mae Kelso (Spencer), Madison Bunch, Gage Vinson, Chandler Pittman, and Calye Vinson. Additionally, he leaves behind seven great-grandchildren.
A visitation to celebrate Clarence's life will be held at Emerson Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service commencing at 2:00 p.m. Brother Danny Russell will officiate the service. The burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.
Active pallbearers include Clarence Bunch III, Brent Baker, Dave Carter, Ed Carter, Evan Bunch, Gage Vinson, and Lee Brown.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Association or the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.
