Clara Momany Pressly

Clara Louise Momany Pressly, 88, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

A native and life-long resident of Jonesboro, Mrs. Pressly worked over 30 years for General Electric of Jonesboro. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church where she was a member of the choir, Altar Society, Silver Catholics and served as Eucharist minister.

Clara was a member of the Red Hat Society, The Knitting Club, and the Ladies Book Club. She taught people to read through the “Each One Teach One” program and loved to travel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Clark Pressly, a son, William Clark Pressly, and a sister, Grace Marie Lowery.

Survivors include: 1 daughter and son-in-law: Betty and Don Pulford of Paragould;

2 sons and daughters-in-law: Larry and Linda Pressly, and Bob and Debbie Pressly, all of Laurel, Mississippi;

6 grandchildren: Laura Graham, Jason Pressly, Matt Pressly, Nick Pressly, Amy Burnett, and Andy Pulford; and

6 great grandchildren: Alyssa Graham, Virginia Pressly, Haylee Pressly, Matt Pressly, Jr., Olivia Pulford and Joshua Pulford.

A funeral mass will be held Saturday morning, July 4, 2009, at 10:00 at Blessed Sacrament Church with Rev. Father Romanus Otuonye and Deacon David England officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held Friday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that consideration be given to Blessed Sacrament School, 720 S. Church St., Jonesboro, AR 72401, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
